Kent College is an independent day and boarding school from 3-18. Forest Explorers Nursery is for girls and boys from rising 3 years, boys can join Reception Class and Year 1, and from September 2023 Year 2 as the Prep School becomes a co-ed school.

Kent College, Canterbury is a co-educational private school for boarding and day pupils between the ages of 3 months and 18 years. It was founded in 1885, and is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.

History. The school was founded in 1885 as the Wesleyan College, Canterbury. Built on land being made available by Edward Pillow, a local gentleman-farmer – recognition of which endures by way of the school's "Pillow Prize" – the foundation stone for the main building was laid in 1887. The architect was Charles Bell.

Kent College has a long tradition of recognising and rewarding outstanding ability by awarding scholarships for academic achievement, the IB Diploma (Year 12 only), and in Art, Design (Years 9 and 12 only) Drama, Music and Sport.
Boarding Life. We offer three types of boarding: Full Boarding - Boarders stay at school for the full term with flexible exeats where boarders can remain at school for quiet study. Weekly Boarding - Boarders arrive at school on a Sunday night or Monday morning and remain until Friday for the duration of each term.
