The Capital District ( Spanish: Distrito Capital) is a federal district of Venezuela. It has an area of 433 km 2 (167 sq mi) and there is only one administrative division ( municipio ), Libertador, which contains about half of Caracas, the Venezuelan capital city, which is also the seat of the three branches of the federal government of Venezuela.

The National Capital District of Papua New Guinea is the incorporated area around Port Moresby, which is the capital of Papua New Guinea. Although it is surrounded by Central Province, where Port Moresby is also the capital, it is technically not a part of that province. It covers an area of 240 km 2 and has a population of 364,125 (2011 census).
