Lamb joined the New York architecture firm Carrère & Hastings in 1911, shortly after returning from Paris, where he earned a diploma at the École des Beaux-Arts. Lamb became a partner in 1920; the firm would be known as Shreve & Lamb from 1924 to 1929 and thereafter as Shreve, Lamb and Harmon .

Arthur Loomis Harmon (July 13, 1878 – October 17, 1958) was an American architect. He is most famous as the design partner of the firm Shreve, Lamb and Harmon. Biography. He was born in Chicago in 1878 and graduated from Columbia University's School of Architecture in 1901.
