Luigi Federzoni (27 September 1878 – 24 January 1967) was an Italian nationalist and later Fascist politician. Biography. Federzoni was born in Bologna. Educated at the university there, he took to journalism and literature, and for several years was on the staff of the newspaper Giornale d'Italia in Rome.

My goal was to understand how he envisioned Rome’s geopolitical interests and imperial ambitions in the midst of the crisis of the international liberal order.
Luigi Federzoni nacque da Elisa Giovannini e Giovanni Federzoni, studioso di Dante Alighieri e docente alla facoltà di Lettere di Bologna. Sin da giovanissimo Federzoni mostrò interesse per la scrittura dedicandosi alla realizzazione di articoli di critica e di attualità ed utilizzando lo pseudonimo Giulio de Frezi.

He was founder of the Nationalist Party and a leading member of the Fascist Party. He served as Fascism’s first colonial minister from 1922 to 1924 and from 1926 to 1928.
