Alain Roux (born 27 March 1968), is a British Michelin starred chef, and chef-patron of The Waterside Inn. He is one of the members of the Roux family, and son of Michel Roux.

Alain Roux Chef Patron. Alain opened Roux at Skindles with his late Father, Michel Roux O.B.E. in November 2018. He began his career with an apprenticeship in pastry. The next seven years were spent training in some of France’s most notable kitchens including Restaurant Pic in Valence and La Côte St Jacques in Joigny.

Alain Roux (Chinese name: Chinese: 鲁林; pinyin: Lǔ Lín) is a French historian, sinologist, university professor emeritus at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Inalco). His subjects of study concern China and in particular Chinese workers in the 20th century, Chinese political elites in Republican China.
