Richard William "Rube" Marquard (October 9, 1886 – June 1, 1980) was an American left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball in the 1910s and early 1920s. He achieved his greatest success with the New York Giants. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971.

Rube Marquard was a left-handed pitcher who played for four teams from 1908 to 1925. He won 20 or more games three times, led the NL in strikeouts twice, and threw a no-hitter in 1915.

Marquard picked up wins in his first two relief appearances, but overall he went 2-2 with a 6.20 ERA in six appearances to finish the campaign. Brooklyn faltered late in the season and closed the year in third place at 80-72, 10 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies.
