The Dude. The Dude network monitor is a new application by MikroTik which can dramatically improve the way you manage your network environment. It will automatically scan all devices within specified subnets, draw and layout a map of your networks, monitor services of your devices and alert you in case some service has problems.
The Dude v3.6 is a freeware application that scans and maps your network devices, monitors their services and alerts you of any problems. It supports SNMP, ICMP, DNS and TCP protocols and runs on Windows, Linux and MacOS.
The Dude is free software, no purchase is necessary. You can download The Dude from the MikroTik webpage, in the Software section. On the Dude page, you will see Stable and Beta versions of the Dude, as well as special NPK files for The Dude support inside RouterOS.
