28 de nov. de 2021 · Indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors. Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format. An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones.
I have found several jobs on Indeed over the years. I go to the company site to apply. If I can't find the company site or the particular job on the site I question the posting and don't apply to any of those weird job boards that feel like a phishing expedition. However, I have had better luck this go around with LinkedIn than Indeed.
12 months ago I had the same experience with indeed. 6 months ago I changed up my process a bit. I refreshed about 3 times a day (morning noon and evening) and only applied to jobs that had JUST been posted (I think the setting on indeed is "since last visit"). I averaged 1.5 recruiter calls a day and ended up with 4 offers in a month.
I think especially for being entry level, it's ridiculously hard. Either you must pay a subscription to find a job (which I think defeats the whole purpose of looking a for job cause 9 times out of 10, you're job hunting because you don't have any money or don't have just a steady source of money.

We can all make another gmail account- take them under a fake account, screenshot the questions, research the answers, and share them amongst ourselves. I have expert in written communication, graphic design, and bartending and have the answers in a word doc that I can share.
I tried Flexjobs years ago, and was considering the 14-day trial again because of so many scams on both Indeed and LinkedIn. I don't apply directly through those sites. I search the website of the business, asking if they posted a job, only to be informed that they didn't. Many people apply without checking first.
6 de mar. de 2024 · It keeps refreshing every couple seconds. If I go in incognito mode it doesn't but it's still really annoying.
5 de jun. de 2023 · I posted about 10 jobs (usually free posts, but not always) on indeed for the past few years w/o issue. About a month ago I got flagged and their customer support has not been able to fix it. When I speak to indeed.coms service reps they walk me through a few steps to clear it up and then tell me I will be good in a few hours.....and it does not get cleared up.
25 de nov. de 2020 · Indeed's recommendation engine is crap. Despite REPEATEDLY telling Indeed to stop auto-recommend me to driver jobs, I'm STILL getting it, several a week. I already voted down like a dozen in the past few weeks. It still doesn't get the hint that I don't want a driving job.
