28 de nov. de 2021 · Indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors. Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format. An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones.
11 de abr. de 2023 · I took four skill assessments on Indeed and scored "Proficient" on all of them. I was reading through some old threads about the assessments and it seemed like "Proficient" was the middle score of five results, with the results being: Completed, Familiar, Proficient, Highly Proficient, and Expert.
9 de set. de 2022 · This puts Indeed back on par with the other job search sites - Linkedin, Monster, Ziprecruiter are prettymuch just as good with this basic search that serves up trash. This is all Google inspired shit - Google thinks its algorithm knows better what results you should be seeing so it's search is shittier now and so all of the other search sites are following suit and serving up bullshit results.
I have found several jobs on Indeed over the years. I go to the company site to apply. If I can't find the company site or the particular job on the site I question the posting and don't apply to any of those weird job boards that feel like a phishing expedition. However, I have had better luck this go around with LinkedIn than Indeed.

We can all make another gmail account- take them under a fake account, screenshot the questions, research the answers, and share them amongst ourselves. I have expert in written communication, graphic design, and bartending and have the answers in a word doc that I can share.
4 de out. de 2021 · So, Indeed says the employer is super responsive and has replied to 75% of applicants in 6 days. They reviewed my application 4 days after I applied but have heard nothing since then. Of course that was only 2 weeks ago but it says they are quick to respond. The job is still on Indeed and still advertised on their website.
5 de fev. de 2023 · Indeed has gotten better over the years but I very seldom use it. Every time I import my resume to create my profile it would mess up the format to the point where I wouldn't trust sending any apps out on their site. Indeed is easier for convenience but may not give the recruiter an idea of who you are (unlike LinkedIn).
25 de nov. de 2020 · Indeed's recommendation engine is crap. Despite REPEATEDLY telling Indeed to stop auto-recommend me to driver jobs, I'm STILL getting it, several a week. I already voted down like a dozen in the past few weeks. It still doesn't get the hint that I don't want a driving job.
20 de jan. de 2023 · I haven’t been on Indeed in a while, maybe they’ve expanded their platform to be more of a profile. You used to be able to build a searchable resume on the platform so recruiters could find you. I sort of remember hearing podcast ads for Indeed where they were touting skills tests employers can use, so maybe they’ve integrated some learning modules into their job seeker platform?
5 de jun. de 2023 · I have had/have an account with Indeed for over 5 years. Last spring we suddenly got flagged for suspicious activity. I do worry spam is somehow attached to us because I am dealing with some pretty bad hacking issues still. Shortly after they then suspended our account.
