28 de nov. de 2021 · Indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors. Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format. An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones.
I have found several jobs on Indeed over the years. I go to the company site to apply. If I can't find the company site or the particular job on the site I question the posting and don't apply to any of those weird job boards that feel like a phishing expedition. However, I have had better luck this go around with LinkedIn than Indeed.
6 de out. de 2023 · Note that in addition to being able to see resumes/cover letter/applicant info through the Indeed platform that the same info is emailed to the employer as well. So if the employer chooses to just use those emails to choose their candidates, this may be the reason you got that message. However, we don't know so we can't automatically assume.
I use indeed to search and then go to the company’s website. Sometimes the job isn’t available anymore, and there may be others that are of interest. I’ve already gotten a couple calls today from places that I applied on their website vs indeed.

We can all make another gmail account- take them under a fake account, screenshot the questions, research the answers, and share them amongst ourselves. I have expert in written communication, graphic design, and bartending and have the answers in a word doc that I can share.

I have a suspicion that indeed applications are the last ones to get looked at, but if I find a job posting there, then I can split directly through the company site or email the recruiting rep with my cover letter and resume.
12 de mai. de 2022 · Indeed allows you to choose a free plan or sponsor it. When sponsored, they push your company in search results and you pay by the applicant for the privilege. One additional benefit (that is obviously in their favor) is that Indeed will reach out to applicants with suitable resumes to encourage them to apply.

Then I saw your comment and wanted to agree Indeed is a marketing-fucked, metric-strangled hellhole of shit ideas that hurt labour systemically. I don't know if anyone working at Indeed is checking this thread in 2023, but kindly tell your management they're bad and they should feel bad.
12 months ago I had the same experience with indeed. 6 months ago I changed up my process a bit. I refreshed about 3 times a day (morning noon and evening) and only applied to jobs that had JUST been posted (I think the setting on indeed is "since last visit"). I averaged 1.5 recruiter calls a day and ended up with 4 offers in a month.
