UK and EU regulatory controls on veterinary medicines cover activities in the discovery, research and development phases, through authorisation of medicines and extend throughout the post-authorisation phase. Before medicines are authorised, they must meet strict safety, quality and efficacy standards to gain a marketing authorisation.
The Code of Practice Committee is actually older than NOAH itself, dating back to 1974 when NOAH was the Animal Health Register of Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry and the code was called the Veterinary Code of Practice. The free-to-access NOAH Compendium website and app will continue to provide up to date information. This decision follows extensive feedback from Compendium users earlier this year and is part of NOAH’s environmental commitment.
The NOAH Compendium of Data Sheets for Animal Medicines book has traditionally been sent free of charge to each veterinary practice premises, with the 2022 edition being the last hard copy published. 9 de mai. de 2024 · NOAH (the National Office of Animal Health) welcomes the government’s announcement of a new five-year plan to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Dawn Howard, NOAH Chief Executive said, “NOAH is committed to working with the government and all stakeholders to tackle the serious threat of AMR; we are particularly pleased to see the plan’s focus on areas of key interest to animal health.
In 1991, NOAH and AMTRA (the Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority) launched the qualification that was to become the NCAH as The Animal Medicine Manufacturers’ Sales Staff Register. In 2010 the qualification came under the control of NOAH and was renamed the NCAH with the establishment of the NCAH register of qualified representatives.
