John Cicero, Elector of Brandenburg. John II (2 August 1455 – 9 January 1499) was Elector of Brandenburg from 1486 until his death, the fourth of the House of Hohenzollern. After his death he received the cognomen Cicero, after the Roman orator of the same name, but the elector's eloquence and interest in the arts is debatable.

Biography. Johann (Hohenzollern) von Brandenburg is a member of the House of Hohenzollern. Johann (Cicero), Elector of Brandenburg, was born August 2, 1455. He was the son of Albrecht III. von Brandenburg and Margarete von Baden. He died on January 9, 1499.
