Tips: 1.Use the exact image location URL instead of directory format i.e. don't use images/OG_thumb.jpg. 2.Case sensitive file extension: If the image extension name on your hosting provider is ".JPG" then do not use ".jpg" or ".jpeg' .

For Business Whatsapp and normal Whatsapp: To handle both business whatsapp and normal whatsapp, the url scheme intent needs to be used, since the normal method of using package "com.whatsapp" only works for normal whatsapp. Here's the code sample to handle both normal and business whatsapp:

So, a friend of mine told me they have been using Facebook ads to post a deep link to send a whatsapp message and ask for the information about the ad via whatsapp. Bad news: this friend is not very tech savvy so that's all he knows. Now, the subject actually caught my eye so I started researching.
