The line for buying tickets was quite long at 9.30am (might be different later in the day), while those with tickets already could just go straight in after going through security.

The mediaeval church is one of the most important London sites, having served as the coronation site for all British monarchs since 1066 and the location for royal weddings, including the 2011 union between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Há 1 dia · When you walk into the north aisle, this is what you see. Made of white marble, the monument is massive. Commissioned by James I, it was made by sculptor Maximilian Colt and painted by John de Critz. The recumbent effigy resembles portraits of Elizabeth in old age. According to Westminster Abbey’s web page, the cost was £1,485 at the time.
