It can be seen along Route 73 from a pull-out or from two short easy trails. The trek to the base is a 0.6 miles flat trail from the parking lot.
Comprising three separate waterfalls—Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls—it presents an awe-inspiring sight. Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the trio, lies mostly on the Canadian side and stands about 188 feet (57 meters) high, with a brink that measures approximately 2,600 feet (790 meters) wide.
