One of the 11 narrow-shaped Finger Lakes in Upstate New York, Skaneateles Lake supports the bountiful town of Skaneateles, whose Iroquois name means "long lake." Fuzzy lambs graze between rows of lavender-purple bushes at the Lockwood Lavender Farm in European-style pastures.
