You are correct. Unlike pretty well every other SSBN, the missile tubes of the Typhoon did not actually run inside the pressure hull(s). The project 941 actually had 2 internal main pressure hulls inside the outer casing, along with compartments for the control room, torpedo room, and steering gear room which bridged them together.
