Answered Prayers is an unfinished novel by American author Truman Capote, published posthumously in 1986 in England and 1987 in the United States. History. The title of the book is taken from the novel's epigraph: "More tears are shed over answered prayers than unanswered ones", attributed to Saint Teresa of Avila. [1]
