Head straight inside with skip-the-line tickets and marvel at a collection of over 200,000 books, including the famous Book of Kells – a rare medieval manuscript renowned for its intricate illustrations and calligraphy.

Located on the floor immediately above the Book of lels Exhibition, the Long Room has been in use since 1732 and hosts over 200 000 books: since 1801 the Library has the right to claim a free copy of every book published in Britain and Ireland.

Please note opening times may change seasonally, so check before you visit. Entrance Fee. The entry fee to Book of Kells and Old Library at Trinity College is €18.50 per adult.
Trinity College’s Library and the Book of Kells were on my must-see list. Definitely book tickets in advance, as they sell out quickly. The Book of Kells exhibit is remarkable, especially in terms of how the book has been preserved for so many years. But the true highlight for me was the long room — an ultimate book lovers’ paradise.
