    is a upcoming 2028 American computer-animated science fiction comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing under its Columbia Pictures label. Directed by Tony Leondis from a screenplay that was co-written by Leondis, Eric Siegel, Lorne Cameron, and Darren Lemke, it is based on emojis and the sequel to The Emoji Movie (2017). Returning voice cast members T.J. Miller, James Corden, Anna Faris, Maya Rudolph, Steven Wright, Jennifer Coolidge, Sofía Vergara, Jake T. Austin, Sean Hayes, Patrick Stewart, and Tati Gabrielle are all joined by Kevin Michael Richardson, Willem Dafoe, Gabriel Iglesias, Elle Fanning, Ron Livingston, Cuba Gooding Jr., H. Jon Benjamin, Liam O'Brien, and Thomas Middleditch. In the film, Gene and his emoji friends get transported to the phone of their user's girlfriend after an unpleasant encounter with a deadly hacker virus, and must find a way back home before the virus infects every digital device across the globe.

It was a commercial success, grossing over $227 million worldwide, but received generally negative reviews from critics, who called it an "unnecessary sequel" and criticized the film's script, tone, pacing, humor, and product placement, although some considered it a slight improvement over its predecessor, with the film's animation and voice performances receiving some praise. It was also nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel. A third film, titled The Emoji Movie: Last Text, is in development.
