Swidnica. Świdnica is a district town located in Dolnośląskie Voivodeship (Province), south-western Poland. The town is situated at the foot of the Sudety Mountains, in Równina Świdnicka (Świdnica Plain), on the Bystrzyca River. Świdnica was founded in the 13th century and was granted town rights between 1241 and 1249.
