Calling Okita Souji Generic is basically being ignorant. Okita Souji is basically the best character among the Shinsengumi. Lots of legends of the Fall of the Age of Samurai claim that if Souji's Sickness hadn't finished his life, things could have gone completely different for the Meiji revolution.

Okita Souji. The original personality but with the transformation from Alter-Ego to swimsuit Majin Saber they've become even more different. I think swimsuit Okita's jetpack is a little nice. She's at the age where she wants to overboost Oda Noubunaga. I don't think she's that scary of a person but is Rengoku wary of her?

A mysterious heroine from the Servant Universe bumps into her, thinks that she killed Okita, and installs a bunch of futuristic tech to turn into a jetpack-laden super-Shinsengumi soldier. This is Okita "Jet" Souji.
Ngl I actually appreciated the extended version of the backstage confrontation here. It doesn't give away what Okita and Loki will eventually show off when they eventually fight in the tournament (either against each other or against different opponents) while still giving a decent portrayal of their combat personalities that the manga hasn't really shown yet.
I'm struggling to recall the name and mangaka for a similar-ish one-shot about historical Okita Souji's dying days, which was a pretty interesting read to me. I could've sworn it was included as a volume extra for the manga 'Reiri' but I can't seem to find it. EDIT: I REMEMBERED.
