Świdnica (Polish: [ɕfidˈɲit͡sa] ⓘ; German: Schweidnitz; Czech: Svídnice; Silesian: Świdńica) is a city on the Bystrzyca River in south-western Poland in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. As of 2021, it has a population of 55,413 inhabitants.

Der Landkreis Schweidnitz war ein preußischer Landkreis in Schlesien, der von 1742 bis 1945 bestand. Seine Kreisstadt war die Stadt Schweidnitz, die seit 1899 einen eigenen Stadtkreis bildete.
