Biography. Sara de Jong joined the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of York in 2018. She is Co-Chair of the University of York Migration Network (MigNet) (with Professor Simon Parker). She obtained her PhD in Politics (2010) from the University of Nottingham, Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice.

The couple are parents of five children, the oldest of whom has Down syndrome, and feel called to expand their family by adopting a baby with Down syndrome.

Since 1978 Sarah has played an important role in Australia crossing artistic boundaries while creating music for theatre, dance, radio and film. She has worked in many musical forms and takes great pleasure in exploring disjointed dancing rhythms and unexpected harmonies underneath lovely melodies.
