(鴨乃橋ロンの禁断推理, Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri), also known as Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions at Crunchyroll and Netflix, is the anime adaptation of the manga series by the same name. It was first announced on December 18, 2022, at the Jump Festa Neo Stage. The anime's first season premiered on October 2, 2023.
A second season was announced on December 25, 2023.
At the world's top detective training school, BLUE, there was once a genius with exceptional talent and a promising future. Ron Kamonohashi, who has been whispered to be a genius since the opening of BLUE, was expelled from BLUE and forbidden to be a "detective" because of a fatal "flaw" as a detective after an incident during his time at school.
Five years later. Ron is living a life of disappointment and boredom but when Detective Totomaru Isshiki of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Investigative Division visits him to ask for his cooperation in a serial murder case, Ron's stopped time begins to move again.
Knowing Ron's anguish, the "pure idiot" Totomaru Isshiki offers his kindness and support. Ron calls him "Toto," and when he senses the infinite possibilities of their investigation together, he appoints Toto as his partner. Ron solves the mystery and Toto works on the investigation.
