Beautiful place, beautiful people, ancient culture preserved and still alive...the Ennedi is spectacular in so many different aspects. The Ennedi Massif also hids gems of biodiversity: plants and animals have managed to survive there for more than 4000 years since the Sahara became arid again.

Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve, nestled in the northeast of Chad, is a natural sandstone masterpiece spanning 50,000 km2 that has been sculpted over centuries, creating a magnificent landscape marked by cliffs, canyons and natural arches.
The Ennedi Plateau is a sandstone plateau in Saharan Chad and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. About 50,000 km2 (19,000 sq mi), a large portion of the Ennedi Plateau, was designated as the Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve by the Chadian government in January 2019.
Ennedi, plateau region, northeastern Chad, central Africa, centred around the town of Fada. The terrain is primarily arid desert, with sandstone peaks rising to 4,756 ft (1,450 m). Wild game is abundant. The region has a sparse population of semi-nomads, chiefly Muslims who speak the Dazaga dialect.
