Bus protocol. A MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus system consists of a Bus Controller (BC) controlling multiple Remote Terminals (RT) all connected together by a data bus providing a single data path between the Bus Controller and all the associated Remote Terminals.
Military services and contractors originally adopted MIL-STD-1553 as an avionics data bus due to its highly reliable, serial, 1 Megabit per sec (Mbps) transfer rate and extremely low error rate of 1 word fault per 10 million words, on a dual-redundant architecture.

MIL-STD-1553 is an inexpensive technology by dramatically reducing the size, weight, power, and cost in the last 10 years [19]. The traditional MIL-STD-1553 has been investigated and analyzed for high data rate applications using 1553 derivative technologies such as Turbo-1553 (50–100+Mbps) and HyPer-1553TM (5 Mbps).
concepts of the MIL-STD-1553 message content and transfer protocol. Message traffic on the 1553 bus consists of command, data, and status words with the format shown in Figure2.0.0-II. Figure 2.0.0-II: Word Formats MIL-STD-1553 defines 10 types of transfers as shown in Figure2.0.0-IIIand2.0.0-IV. Each transfer is
