22 de jun. de 2023 · The ship will arrive at the Sarayburnu Pier in Istanbul’s Fatih during the morning hours of July 18, where it will be officially received by the Ambassador of Mexico in Türkiye, José Luis Martínez y Hernández, as well as by the city’s naval and civil authorities.
19 de jul. de 2023 · The sail training ship "Cuauhtémoc," sent by the Mexican government as a gesture to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, has made its arrival at İstanbul's Sarayburnu Port. The vessel is named after Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec emperor of Mexico, who was captured and executed in 1525.
On July 19, the Cuauhtémoc Sailing Tall Ship, also known as the Ambassador and Gentleman of the Seas, arrived at Istanbul’s port after nine months sailing across the world from Mexico to Turkey.
