Max Payne is a third-person shooter action video game, the first title in the Max Payne series, created by Remedy Entertainment and first released for the PC in July 2001, published by Gathering of Developers.
Gameplay. The player assumes the role of the titular character, with gameplay revolving around the use of the bullet time mechanic during firefights – when triggered, time is slowed down to such an extent that the speed at which bullets and other projectiles move is slow enough to be seen by the naked eye.
