Manuel I (European Portuguese:; 31 May 1469 – 13 December 1521), known as the Fortunate (Portuguese: O Venturoso), was King of Portugal from 1495 to 1521. A member of the House of Aviz , Manuel was Duke of Beja and Viseu prior to succeeding his cousin, John II of Portugal , as monarch.

Manuel I (Alcochete, 31 de maio de 1469 – Lisboa, 13 de dezembro de 1521), apelidado de O Venturoso, foi o Rei de Portugal e Algarves de 1495 até à sua morte. Era o filho mais novo do infante Fernando, Duque de Viseu , filho do rei Duarte I e de sua esposa, a infanta Beatriz de Portugal , neta do rei João I e filha do infante João .
