(fn. 1) It is bounded on the west by the River Loddon and by the Thames, and in the extreme north, near Culham Court, the Thames again forms the boundary.

In 1349 William son of Sir John de Newenham held lands, (fn. 38) meadows, pastures, woods and rents in Warfield, possibly identical with this manor.
