29 de dez. de 2019 · Even if it's just in purely economic terms, there are two different periods in the history of Francoist Spain. The first period went from 1939 to 1959. Devastated by the civil war and isolated by the international community after the end of WWII, Spain relied on policies of autarky to manage its economy.
Francoist Spain (Spanish: España franquista), also known as the Francoist dictatorship (dictadura franquista), was the period of Spanish history between 1936 and 1975, when Francisco Franco ruled Spain after the Spanish Civil War with the title Caudillo.
