Lando Norris (born November 13, 1999, in Bristol, UK) is a British racing driver, who made his debut for McLaren Racing during the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship. A member of the McLaren Young Driver Programme , Norris arrived in F1 after a successful maiden season in the FIA Formula 2 Championship , and would replace Stoffel Vandoorne .
Biography. Lando Norris may not be named after Star Wars rebel Lando Calrissian - his Mum just liked the moniker - but he has flair and fighting spirit in bountiful supply. McLaren had the British teenager on their books for two years before fast-tracking him into F1’s galaxy of stars in 2019.
24-year-old Lando Norris is the youngest ever British Formula 1 Driver Hailing from Somerset and after joining McLaren in 2016 and with a remarkable rookie season under his belt, he now begins his fifth full season in Formula 1 with McLaren in 2024.
