Jade Amelia Thirlwall (born 26 December 1992) is an English singer, songwriter and activist. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Little Mix, formed during the eighth series of The X Factor (UK) in 2011. As part of the group she won three Brit Awards—becoming the first girl group recipient to win British Group.
The line up consisted of Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and originally Jesy Nelson, before her departure from the group in 2020. Regarded as the show's most successful winning act, their success led to a girl band renaissance in the UK.
