Leave accrual. You will begin accruing sick and vacation leave on your date of hire, however you may not be able to use these leave balances for the first three months (for sick leave), and the first 12 months (for vacation leave). Depending on your bargaining unit, you may be awarded additional leave that you can use from day one.
