Eton has around 240 places at 13+ and usually receive over 1,300 applications, so there is a lot of competition. How hard is the Eton entrance exam? King’s Scholarship Awards. Eton College has 70 King’s Scholars who board in College House under the care of the Master-in-College (the House Master), the Matron-in-College (the Dame) and pastoral team. Every boy has his own study-bedroom and, apart from a few minor differences, his life at Eton is very similar to that of boys in other Houses.
Eton Entrance (for boys from the state sector) Boys coming to Eton from the state sector are not required to take Common Entrance but will be required to sit exams based on the National Curriculum in English, Maths and Science.
