Elizabeth Seymour ( c. 1518 [5] – 19 March 1568 [3]) was a younger daughter of Sir John Seymour of Wulfhall, Wiltshire and Margery Wentworth. [6] Elizabeth and her sister Jane served in the household of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII.

The painting shows an elegantly but demurely dressed young woman sitting against a blue-grey background. The subject of this portrait is thought to be a member of the Cromwell family, perhaps Thomas Cromwell's daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Seymour, sister to Jane, third consort of Henry VIII.
Elizabeth Seymour was a child of the Tudor Court. She was the daughter of Sir John Seymour of Wolf Hall, Wilts, by his wife Margery Wentworth of Nettlestead, Suffolk. Luckily for Elizabeth, it was her older sister Jane who caught the roving eye of the King and became his 3rd Queen. Elizabeth married (1st) Sir Anthony Ughtred.
