7 de jun. de 2021 · I think Kemper is an extremely important figure in understanding the psychology of the modern serial killer. The information that was gathered from him by people like Robert Ressler, John Douglas, and Prof. Ann Burgess, is invaluable. He helped build the foundation for what we know today as “Criminal Profiling”.
16 de jan. de 2024 · He usually does not respond to “fan” or “interest” mail, unless it's family or established friends. That apparently has been his personal stance within the last several years. There have been some very rare exceptions, but I wouldn’t expect an answer.
Serial killer studies have shown there are multiple similar factors that are ubiquitous among serial killers. Firstly, the Macdonald Triad (arson, bed wetting, animal abuse) are all common signs in early adolescents who later became serial killers. Secondly, prefrontal cortex injuries in early adolescents are also common.
16 de out. de 2023 · This 2-page 1977 letter is one of the letters that a journalist Richard Battin exchanged with Ed Kemper before they eventually met up for an interview in 1977. The interview was recorded and the snippets and very short excerpts from it appeared later in some documentaries. Nowadays the whole 1977 interview is considered a lost media.

He wants to know why he is the way he is just like the rest of us, and the psychologists that studied him. He came up with theories as to what was wrong with his head, and he self analyzed his childhood and himself.
