Dagny Taggart is the Vice-President in Charge of Operations for Taggart Transcontinental, under her brother, James Taggart. Dagny is the central female protagonist in the plot of the Atlas Shrugged. Dagny deals with most of the affairs of Taggart Transcontinental because of her brother's incompetency. Dagny later joins the strike by John Galt.
