Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides care to patients with a life-limiting illness. We also support patients' loved ones and those who support them across West Northamptonshire.
We support patients, their families, and those who care for them across West Northamptonshire. At Cynthia Spencer Hospice we provide inpatient care, outpatient services, wellbeing services, Hospice@Home, lymphoedema services and palliative care services with a clinical nurse specialist service.
Our History. Providing care and support to West Northamptonshire since 1976. Cynthia Spencer Hospice opened on 15 May 1976 and provides care and support, in the hospice and in peoples homes, to patients and their families with life limiting illnesses. Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity was founded by Janet Pacey in 1990.
Lady Spencer died at the Spencers' ancestral home, Althorp, of a brain tumour on 4 December 1972, aged 75. The Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton is named in her memory.
