Noteworthy: Ray, a 29-year-old left-hander, had a breakout season in his first full year with Toronto. After a 6.62 ERA in the COVID-shortened 2020 season between Arizona and the Blue Jays, Ray accepted a modest 1-year, $8 million deal and delivered much more value than his salary.
