The magic of Katharine’s body dissipated with the advent of the 19th-century. In 1861, the remains of Queen Katharine were collected and interred ‘with pious care’ elsewhere.
THE REAL FACE OF CATHERINE PARR. These are the only three confirmed extant contemporary portraits of Catherine Parr. We have records which suggest Catherine commissioned many miniatures of herself to give to family and friends; sadly we do not know what happened to these.

Dating to the mid-16th century, it is the only known contemporary portrait of the Tudor queen consort in private hands.
