Glasgow Cathedral (Scottish Gaelic: Cathair-eaglais Ghlaschu) is a parish church of the Church of Scotland in Glasgow, Scotland. It is the oldest cathedral in mainland Scotland and the oldest building in Glasgow.

The awe-inspiring building dedicated to St Kentigern, also known as St Mungo, was built in the 1100s and drew countless pilgrims to his shrine. Today, it’s the most complete medieval cathedral on the Scottish mainland, having survived the Protestant Reformation almost intact.
The building of Glasgow Cathedral began in 1136 and took about 350 years to finish. The cathedral was dedicated to St Kentigern (or St Mungo), a Christian missionary in the area during the 6 th century AD.
