A public university in Canterbury, Kent, England, founded in 1962 as a Church of England college for teacher training. It offers various degree programmes in the arts, humanities, social sciences and health, and has a campus in the St Augustine Abbey element of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The university is chaired by the Archbishop of Canterbury and has a diverse student body.
