Within three years, the law school joined other prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Yale, and Boston University as renowned law schools in New England with superior academic recognition. Today, the school has about 800 law students with 125 faculty members.

It began with an enrollment of 54 ambitious students selected from an applicant pool of nearly 700, and quickly thrived despite the onset of the Great Depression that coincided with its early years.
