William Byrd Traxler Jr. (born May 1, 1948) is an American jurist who currently serves as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit . Early life and education Traxler was born in Greenville, South Carolina.

William Byrd Traxler, Jr. is a federal judge on senior status on the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. He joined the court in 1998 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton.
