William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland, PC (24 June 1768 – 27 March 1854), styled Marquess of Titchfield until 1809, was a British politician who served in various positions in the governments of George Canning and Lord Goderich.

In 1795 he married Henrietta Scott (d 1844) of Balcomie, Fife, by whom he had 9 children: William Henry (1796-1824), Marquess of Titchfield. William John (1800-1879), Marquess of Titchfield from 1824 and later 5th Duke of Portland.
19 de set. de 2022 · The 9 th and last Duke of Portland (who used his third name, William, or ‘Bill Bentinck’) had also had a long career, first as a diplomat in the 1920-30s (rising to be Ambassador to Poland in 1945), then in business, mostly focusing on repairing links between Britain and German industry.
Family. In 1766 he married Lady Dorothy Cavendish (1750-1794), daughter of the 4th Duke of Devonshire, and by her had: William Henry (1768-1854), later 4th Duke of Portland. William Henry (1774-1839), known as Lord William Bentinck. William Charles Augustus (1780-1826) Frederick (1781-1828). The 8th Duke of Portland was his descendant.
