Marmaduke Furness, 1st Viscount Furness. Thelma Morgan. William Anthony Furness, 2nd Viscount Furness (31 March 1929 – 1 May 1995) was a British peer. [1] He was the producer and financier of many West End plays, and an active member of the Royal Central Asian Society. [1] He was also a knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

Furness was born in Melton Mowbray, England, the only child of Marmaduke Furness, 1st Viscount Furness, and his second wife, Thelma Furness, Viscountess Furness (formerly Converse, née Morgan), an American socialite.
They had one son, William Anthony Furness, 2nd Viscount Furness, and as the former wife of a British nobleman she was known as Thelma, Viscountess Furness. By this marriage she also had a stepson, Christopher Furness, and a stepdaughter, Averill Furness. Furness and Edward, the Prince of Wales, in 1932

They had one son, William Anthony Furness, 2nd Viscount Furness 1, 2 (an exceedingly nice chap and a devout Catholic), and she also acquired a second stepson (who would have succeeded to the title had he not been killed in the Second World War) and a stepdaughter.
William Anthony Furness, 2nd Viscount Furness, aka Tony (1929–1995) Furness's third and final marriage was to Enid Cavendish (née Lindeman), the Australia-born widow of Brig. Gen. Frederick Cavendish; she was also the widow of Roderick Cameron. She and Lord Furness were married in 1933. By this marriage he had three stepchildren:
