[1] [2] Kilcash Castle, [3] now a ruin, is west of Ballydine in South Tipperary, Ireland. Walter was the oldest son of Sir John Butler, [1] who was the younger brother of Thomas, 10th Earl of Ormonde and Ossory, known as Black Tom. [1] .
