The book was written in response to three requests for donations by three different feminist organisations and contains a statement on feminine purpose. Not to be missed by fans and collectors of Feminist literature.
Three Guineas, the follow-up to A Room of One's Own, was written the winter of 1936-7 (published in 1938), initially under the title "On Being Despised".
